Kenneth Davis serves as the Vocal Music Director for Chelsea Schools, where he directs three curricular choirs and one extra-curricular choir. Additionally, Mr. Davis is the Vocal Director for Musical Theatre productions at Chelsea High School and teaches 5th Grade General Music.
Throughout his six years of teaching experience in Michigan and Texas, Mr. Davis has prepared ensembles of various voicings and skill levels, consistently receiving Superior marks at Michigan School Vocal Music Association and Texas UIL choral festivals. Students under Davis’s leadership have excelled in Solo & Ensemble and Honors Choir processes. His achievements include an Invited Performance at the 2021 Texas Music Educators Association convention with Andrews High School’s A Cappella Choir. In Texas, Davis served as a section leader for several TMEA All-State Camps and as an adjunct director for the varsity tenor-bass choruses at Permian High School, Odessa High School, and Andrews High School.
Mr. Davis graduated from Central Michigan University in 2017 with a B.M.E., studying conducting under the late Nina Nash-Robertson. He is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Michigan Vocal Music Association. Mr. Davis and his wife live in Northville with their two dogs, Frankie and Bubbs.
