What is it like to sing with Measure for Measure?
Measure for Measure’s performance season runs September through May, divided into trimesters. Members may choose to sing in any or all trimesters for the season. We rehearse most Sunday evenings from 6:30 – 9:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church, located at 4205 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor, MI.
Our current season has the following performances (these are tenative):
- August 20 – Glee Club Summer Sing
- September 17 – Fall Rehearsals Begin @ St. Luke (new member auditions)
- October 6 – EMU Choir Homecoming Concert @ Pease Auditorium
- December 1 – Sounds of the Season @ St. Francis
- December 16 – Holiday Pops w/A2SO @ Hill Auditorium
- December 22 – Sounds of the Season @ St. Andrews – Saline
How do I audition?
Auditions are held the first two rehearsals of each trimester for new members. This coming season’s audition dates are September 17th and September 24th.
Prospective members will be able to participate in a rehearsal, followed by an audition with our director, Steven Lorenz. The brief audition will consist of vocal exercises and a site reading exercise. We look forward to singing with you this season!
